im pretty much not in the mood to do a lot of things... so blah blah... im not even in the mood to have a music on the background... blah blah... anyways....
i've just finished watching Maou! So here's what i got to say!
Before seeing it i thought its just one of those drama having a dark and twisted character... tossed in some good guys wanting to end the wretchedness the evil has brought upon! But damn it wasnt anything like that! From start to end you just wished Naruse (Satoshi Ohno) would never stop (or stop for some instance)... You'll enjoy his every step, his every move... his dark ways on manipulating people! Not that i agreed on the idea of avenging but the show is packed with mystery and evolution you just want more (though im scared of what bad might happen to him, yes evil guys has a little percentage of redeeming themselves so they end up... well you know...) one thing after another... its unstoppable! I tried to figure out what the ending is, but i just failed. i also like the development of Naruse's character... i mean he is human after all.. had doubts along the way... so it makes it more real!
Anyway aside from that, what i really enjoyed is the cinematography! Well its japanese made so its a given! But what really striked me is that i never noticed how small Ohno is in real life! (not that its a secret) I mean the camera angles were perfectly arranged in order to have that Im-that-bad-guy-so-im-big-and-powerful image... Seriouly all through out the drama he exude this aura of massive destruction!
At first i kind of doubted Ohno as an actor... well you should see how convincing he is! Who would have thought of giving a member of Arashi such dark and complex character? Come on! Arashi = hearts and rainbows and never blood red and pitch black! But see the whole thing! Im convinced that this is what Arashi needs... a chance to show how flexible they are as a performer (not that they havent got much chance, they are damned to be busy as the devil down there!)... this is a very mature role, you'd think it only fits a more veteran actor! But hey Ohno would not won the best actor for Nikkan Sports for nothing!
One more thing! I totally like Shiori-Naruse love pair! Gomen to Ohmiya... Well just for this drama i guess!

weather it ended happily or not... doesnt matter, they got the best resolution as far as im concerned!
Watch Maou not just because of Ohno or because its about revenge... watch it because its a brilliant one from start to end!
